Work placements and Volunteering
The Silvanus Trust is a busy environmental charity with a wide variety of activities (see What we do). If you are a student or volunteer wishing to apply your knowledge and skills - and acquire new knowledge and skills - in a mostly office based environment, please contact Sarah Vaughan: sarah.vaughan@silvanus.org.uk, tel. 01752 846 400.
Student projects
The Trust has a list of potential projects which would provide us with useful information for our future programme development. Most of the projects could be undertaken at undergraduate or postgraduate level by students from a number of disciplines eg forestry, geography, biology, or ecology.
We would be happy to adapt projects to suit the particular interests of a student or department and would welcome other suggestions. We would also consider two or more students working together on different aspects of the same project.
Students might wish to combine undertaking a project with a work placement based at the Trust's office at Trematon.
