South West apprentices receive certificates from Chair of Forestry Commission

Three of the apprentices on the South West pilot apprenticeship scheme, which the Trust coordinates in partnership with the Forestry Commission and Bicton College, were awarded certificates of achievements from the Forestry Commission at a special forestry apprenticeship event on 27 October.  The event took place at the Discovery centre, in the Wye Valley, Herefordshire – linking the south west scheme with a similar pilot in the West Midlands.  After talks and discussions on the future of apprenticeships in forestry, south west apprentices Tom, Stuart and Jon were presented with their certificates by Pamela Warhurst, Chair of the Forestry, who congratulated the trainees on their success in completing their training.
